What Are the Exact Steps to Make An Appointment with USCIS?

USCIS InfoPass is a free service that permits USCIS customers to schedule appointments with USCIS officers. If you have issues related to immigration and if you need to speak to an immigration officer, you can make an InfoPass appointment at any time, using the internet. You can schedule an appointment while at home and you need not go to a USCIS office to schedule one. InfoPass is free and you may also reschedule or cancel an appointment that you have scheduled.

Steps to Make An InfoPass Appointment

Go to USCIS.GOV and click ‘Schedule a FREE Appointment’. You will then be directed to the USCIS InfoPass page where you can find the list of 12 languages from which you can choose your preferred language.

After you select your preferred language, click “Make your appointment with InfoPass”

In the next page, you will have to enter your home zip code, if you are living in America and you can select the field office that is closest to your zip code and select the type of service that you need.

If you are abroad, you will have to enter the name of the country where you are currently residing and you may select the kind of service that you need and select the type of appointment that best matches the problem that you have.

After selecting the type of service that you need, you will have to enter your name, contact number and few other details including your Alien Registration Number.

Followed by that, you may select a date and time, that is convenient for you, for an InfoPass appointment.

An appointment notice will appear on your screen and you may print that notice and keep it with you as you will have to bring that notice to the USCIS office when you come for your appointment.

However, you may make an appointment to meet an immigration officer if you need to discuss complex immigration issues and you may just contact the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283, if your immigration issue is not complex and if it is a routine issue.
