Who is an undocumented immigrant?
An undocumented immigrant is a foreign-born person who does not have the legal right to live in the U.S. Those who enter into the U.S. illegally without immigration documents, those who use false immigration documents and those who get into the U.S. without being inspected by an immigration officer are known as undocumented immigrants. Those who come here on temporary visas and overstay them are also undocumented immigrants. Currently, there are more than 11.4 million undocumented immigrants in the U.S.
