Will applying for the Green Card Lottery affect my chances of getting a B1/B2 visa?
In most cases, no!
Though applying for the Green Card Lottery shows your intention to immigrate to the U.S., you may not have difficulty getting a temporary visitor visa (B-2 visa) or business visa (B-1 visa) as your chances of getting to the U.S. through the Green Card lottery is speculative.
Acknowledge your green card lottery application if you are asked about it during your B-1/B-2 nonimmigrant visa interview. Make sure to clarify that your visit to the U.S. is only temporary. That you will return to your home country to go through the immigrant visa application process, if you are lucky enough to win the Diversity Visa lottery while you are in America. You also need to show your ties in your home country, in the form of family, business, employment, etc. Evidence supporting the temporary nature of your travel to the U.S. will help you get your temporary B-1/B-2 visa.
