In order to enhance its services, USCIS has expanded two services, the E-Request service and the Case Status Service. Case status service, allows the USCIS customers to check the status of the applications that they had filed. Similarly, the e-Request service, allows the customers to make inquiries electronically, about the immigration petitions that they had filed. E-Request also allows the customers to inform the USCIS about the mistakes in the notices that they receive and about the administrative errors.
USCIS customers must retain the application receipt notices that they received and must enter the receipt numbers, in order to use these two services. As the USCIS has made changes to these two services, USCIS customers can now track the status of the cards and the documents mailed by them by the USCIS, using the USCIS Case Status Service. To track the mailing, they can use the USCIS Secure Mail Initiative. Earlier the customers were only allowed to check the status of their petitions but now they can also track the mailing and the delivery of the documents.
Applicants who had filed Form I-485, Application to Adjust Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization or Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, can now launch service requests if they do not receive a reply from the USCIS related to the applications that they had filed.
USCIS has also launched the E-Verify Employers Search Tool and this online tool will help you to find the US employers and contractors who are registered with E-verify. This E-Verify Employers Search Tool, contains the names of the US businesses and the names of the employers. People looking for jobs can get to know about the federal contractors and about the state and the ZIP code that the employer used while registering, by making use of this online tool.
