It is well known that the eligible undocumented youth in America, may now file applications for deferred action, a process implemented by President Obama, that would shelve the deportation of the undocumented immigrants who are granted deferred action status. To receive deferred action status, you need to file Form I-821D, Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization and Form I-765WS, Form I-765 Worksheet. All these three forms must be filed together along a filing fee of $465 and few supporting documents.
You need to complete the form according to the form instructions and you may follow the following instructions to easily complete the deferred action application. There are seven different parts in Form I-821D and you need to complete all these parts.
Part 1
You need to enter your name and your address in Part 1 and information about removal proceedings must also be entered in this part. Few other details such as your birth date, alien registration number, social security number, name of your home country and Form I-94 number, must be entered. You must also provide information about your education and about your military service. To question number 13, you may enter an estimated date, if you do not know the exact date on which you entered into the United States and if you do not have supporting documents to prove that you had entered into America illegally.
Part 2
You need to enter information about your arrival and residence, in part 2 and you must enter your current address and your previous addresses.
Part 3
You need to complete this part if you were convicted of crimes and you need to check the right box beside each question. For example, if you are or if you were a member of a criminal gang, you need to check “yes”, if not you must check “no”. Similarly, you need to answer all the five questions in the third part.
Part 4
If Form I-821D was completed by you, you need to check the box beside the first question, if it was not completed by you, you need to check the box beside the second question. You must also write the name of the person who completed the form on your behalf. You must then affix your signature and enter your phone number.
Part 5
This part must be completed if the application was not prepared by the applicant. Contact information and personal information about the preparer must be entered and the person who prepared the form must affix his signature in this part. The interpreter must affix his signature and enter his name is the sixth part. Similarly, if you need more space to provide additional information, you may use part 7.
However, after completing all the parts of Form I-821D, you need to make sure that you had signed the form and that the information provided by you is true. Make sure that the name that you enter in Form I-821D and in Form I-765, are both the same. All the required fields must be completed and remember that incomplete applications will be rejected.
